Disney Facilities and Operations Services Costuming is seeking applicants for a Cosmetology Manager position. Candidates will have a passion for guest and cast service putting inclusion at the forefront of everything they do. FOS Cosmetology supports all of Walt Disney World in the day-to-day maintenance of wigs, prosthetics, facial hair and more. Cosmetology Managers lead and mentor some of the most hard-working cast members in the industry!
You will report to the Cosmetology Area Manager
You Will:
On any given day, as a Cosmetology Manager, you might:
Manage, guide and develop a successful team of hourly Cosmetologists through demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring.
Provide a safe working environment while ensuring compliance with Company, State and Federal regulations.
Build and maintain positive relationships with Entertainment and Costuming partners.
Represent and support business requests in a fast-paced environment.
Monitor, analyze, and take action on inventory quantity, wig show quality, and expenses affecting annual financial targets.
You Will Have:
Here’s what you need to be successful at this job:
1+ year of leadership experience or equivalent.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, overnights, and holidays.
Demonstrated proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment with a willingness to learn new software applications.
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication.
Demonstrated strong networking, mentoring and partnering skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
It would be great if you also have:
Current Florida Cosmetology license.
Minimum 1 year experience in a Cosmetology or Entertainment related field.
Proven knowledge and understanding of Walt Disney Resort policies and procedures; including Union contracts.
Required Education:
High School degree or equivalent Required
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Preferred
