The Starting pay rate for this role is $21.81

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot voice systems including Avaya and Cisco platforms.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot server-based hardware including Cisco Unity, Avaya Aura Messaging, HMS, and Contact Center applications including AACC, AAAD, and WFO.
  • Provide support to site technicians to resolve field related issues with voice systems, VOIP, and associated hardware.
  • Responsible for supporting Dedicated Cisco Data Network hardware.
  • Monitor voice systems, power plants, servers and related equipment using various monitoring solutions.
  • Ability to use network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark and Fluke LinkRunner.
  • Ability to effectively interface and communicate with internal and external partners for issue resolution.
  • Perform upgrades and patching to enhance voice systems, servers, and associated peripheral systems.
  • Develop reports/follow procedures and practices for preventive maintenance routines.
  • Accomplish all work tasks in a safe, efficient manner adhering to all safety guidelines set forth by the Company.

Basic Qualifications

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of some the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
  • High level of knowledge on CUCM, CUC, CER, CUCC. SIP protocol and Jabber.
  • High level of knowledge of Avaya Communication Manager, AAM, and AACC Systems experience preferred. SIP and H323 protocols.
  • High level of knowledge of Avaya System and Session Manager platforms.
  • Understand of Network Layer 1 and Layer 2 IP protocols.
  • Understand GPON network technology; Calix vendor preferred.
  • Knowledge on Nortel/Avaya CS1000, Contact Center, HMS.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience required in a position of similar function and responsibility in a Nortel, Cisco and/or Avaya environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

General Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP network switches and related support applications.
  • Microsoft and Apple hardware and their supported OS.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Products, Office 365.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement
  • Understand the department is operational 24/7 365 days a year.
  • Willing and able to work various shifts, overtime, holidays, and on call when required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good organization and analytical skills.
  • Ability and desire to learn and keep up with the telecommunications field including receiving training for system certifications.
  • Cooperative and supportive of a team building environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Good driving record.

Required Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical track is preferred.
  • Certification on Avaya or Cisco is preferred.

Preferred Education

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical track is preferred.
  • Certification on Avaya or Cisco is preferred.
