Job Summary:

Financial Reporting is the organization within the Controllership that leads and facilitates the segment’s financial reporting processes, including the production of all deliverables and supporting analysis for SEC reporting and segment management reporting. In addition, the team has direct responsibility over the financial statement consolidation of the individual financial reporting processes for business areas within the parks and resorts segment. Specifically, the Executive office supports the Financial Reporting team and their processes. Typical responsibilities of the Financial Accounting Manager (PT) include supporting the Director of Financial Reporting, and completing recurring monthly financial reporting deliverables, quarter-end tasks, and other projects as assigned by Management.

This Financial Accounting Manager (PT) supports the domestic Financial Reporting Executive office and their Financial Reporting teams. Typical responsibilities of the Financial Accounting Manager (PT) include supporting the Director of Financial Reporting, and completing recurring monthly financial reporting deliverables, quarter-end tasks, and other DPEP Controllership projects as assigned by management.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and submit weekly updates to Executive leadership
  • Analyze monthly cost center results and propose journal entries as necessary
  • Attend quarterly balance sheet meetings and document action items
  • Create quarterly town hall presentation and help lead and manage bi-coastal event
  • Handle all Organizational Management for the Department, including but not limited to: completing job descriptions, submitting backfill requests, reviewing career postings, creating Organizational announcements, reviewing SAP information
  • Review and update SAP job roles for positions
  • Manage content on Director’s iPad
  • Act as RIM Advisor for the Department
  • Create Departmental overviews for presentations
  • Consolidate requests for Director and team as needed
  • Complete special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of general accounting and internal controls
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work and handle multiple priorities
  • Maintain and handle highly confidential information
  • Strong analytical and writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
  • Ability to prepare and present information to support decision making
  • Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to drive a project to conclusion
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Strong working knowledge of PC-based software applications, including Microsoft Office

Required Education

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
