Financial Analyst, DPEP Global Product Creation Finance

Job Summary:

The Global Product Creation (GPC) team is responsible for creating, developing, and bringing to life Disney merchandise across Disney Parks, Disney Stores, shopDisney, wholesale, and licensed products sold across the world. As a Financial Analyst supporting the GPC team, you will help provide financial and analytical support to the GPC team as well as engage in ad hoc analyses for the Merchandise line of business. The Financial Analyst will have the opportunity to develop broad partnerships and interact with executive level leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop the forecasts, AOP, and Long Term Plan for the GPC cost base
  • Monitor financial performance, research variances, and identify risks and opportunities
  • Create month end reports and forecast presentations
  • Effectively communicate financial information to various stakeholders at different levels and develop executive level presentations
  • Maintain and update financial models and identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements
  • Help provide financial analysis for various projects such as cost allocations, new business opportunities, business case valuation, etc.
  • Engage in ad-hoc financial analysis across the Merchandise line of business

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or other relevant analytical field
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, ability to develop financial models
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals of all levels within an organization
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to be creative and initiate problem solving

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Merchandise business and operations
  • Experience with accounting systems including SAP and Cognos
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or other relevant analytical field
