This position reports to a senior manager in Financial Systems and will support the WDW Ticketing Replacement Project.


This Project Hire position requires working with internal Controllership / Finance clients and Technology to develop and execute system requirements, manage project issues and risks and ensure that the necessary accounting processes and controls are delivered. As such, strong project management skills, good communication skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting theory will be required to be successful in this role. Additionally, this position will be responsible for partnering with the Controllership / Finance teams, as well as other Business teams, to design, implement, and test new ticketing system functionality related to the sales process. This includes sales of tickets through multiple channels, both onsite and online, and to various types of ticketing customers. This work will also include partnering with these same teams to identify reporting requirements specific to the sales reconciliation and payment reconciliation processes, and to thoroughly evaluate the reporting results for accuracy and efficiency.

This position will also be responsible for communicating pertinent project details, including scope changes and timeline changes, to leadership in a timely manner and also for providing written weekly / monthly updates. The position will be responsible for creating PowerPoint decks and other presentation material, which will be used to update area Executives on the status of the project.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years work experience with financial or accounting, preferably in a large SAP installation
  • Experience working for large company and within a matrix
  • Proven “team player” who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proven experience with process re-design and change management
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience leading and championing change on projects of moderate scope and budget, involving localized teams whose success is dependent upon the management of potential risk factors, impacting a specific line of business
  • Ability to develop a logical and persuasive approach and outline for a “deck”, knowing how to vary format, structure, and content to suit various audiences
  • Ability to understand and adapt to different audiences and clients, their needs and potential reactions to ideas and potential issues
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility with internal clients and to navigate organizational structures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms
  • Ability to succinctly convey relevant information across multiple levels of the organization and confidently project a professional image that fosters relationship building and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking and project management skills to manage workload from logistics to strategic efforts, while adhering to deadlines and high quality.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, processes and enhancements
  • Proven ability to quickly learn complex situations
  • Proven history of building and maintaining excellent client service relationships
  • Proven ability to interact and partner with all levels of management to help drive collaborative business decisions
  • High energy level; strong work ethic
  • Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years working in WDPR
  • Minimum 5 years (preferred) of staff management experience
  • Familiarity with DLR and / or WDW Ticketing Systems
  • Knowledge of DLR and / or WDW Ticketing system revenue recognition processes
  • Experienced in using the Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • Experience in using SAP or another ERP
  • Experience developing end user training

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business, or a related field

Preferred Education

  • Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (e.g., MAC, MBA, MIS)
  • CPA or CMA license, or equivalent
  • PMP or other professional project management certification
  • Six Sigma certification
