- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.

Job Summary:

Imagine continuing a legacy of surveying at the most magical place on earth. As a Land Surveyor with Infrastructure Program Development, you will work with engineers, architects, and project management teams across the Walt Disney World Resort. You will work with regulatory agencies, Disney leadership, and fellow cast members, to keep up to date with the technology, equipment, and materials used to design, maintain, and construct current and future Walt Disney World Resort projects.


You will report to the Manager of Programs-Infrastructure and Planning

Responsibilities:

You Will

  • Work with engineers, architects, and project management teams to help complete field survey scope of work for varying types of land surveys
  • Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control reviews of survey and mapping deliverables to ensure data is processed at a high level of geometric accuracy according to Standards of Practice in Chapter 5j-17 of the Florida Administrative Code
  • Plan the development, management, and maintenance of a GIS asset management system using ArcGIS for mapping and asset data inventory
  • Provide subject matter expertise for Professional Land Surveying associated codes and regulations
  • Work with outside vendors, local regulatory agencies, Disney leaders, and fellow cast members
  • Keep up-to-date on the latest developments in technology, equipment and materials

Basic Qualifications

You Will Have:

  • 6+ years diverse experience in Land Surveying including Topographic, Utility, Wetland, Boundary (Property Lines), Bathymetric, 3DScanning, and Construction Stakeout Survey
  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in State of Florida, or ability to obtain within 3-months of hire
  • Expertise with industry codes and standards associated with new development and re-development
  • Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS applications
  • Understanding of latest technology related to aerial, mobile and terrestrial LiDAR
  • Experience using LiDAR processing and/or extraction software
  • Experience performing peer reviews
  • Experience managing outside consultants/vendors

Required Education

Bachelor's or associate degree in geomatics, land surveying or related field

Preferred Education

  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor License (PLS) from any United States State Survey Board of Licensure or Professional surveyor and mapper (PSM) Florida license
