Manager, Location Strategy
The Global Product Creation (GPC) team creates and develops to life Disney merchandise across Disney Parks, Disney Stores, shopDisney, and licensed products sold all across the world. The Location Strategy team contributes in the connection of GPC strategies with Profit Center goals.
The Manager will manage a team of Location Strategy Managers to grow profit center and location specific retail vision. Create assortment strategies to enhance results; match GPC priorities with the strategies in the profit center.
You will report to the Director, Location Strategy.
You Will:
On any given day, as a Manager-Location Strategy, you might:
- Develop the master plan "vision" for a profit center that supports Annual Operating Plan site level and retail segment goals. Promote IFP and Capital plan to support LTP at the profit center level.
- Build profit center vision and brand essence for retail that links to store level assortment profiles.
- Develop the retail location strategy, supported by an analytical foundation, to justify retail master plan (rehabs, store closing/openings and new concepts).
- Develop profit-center specific assortment strategies in partnership with Owned and Operated Merchandising, Allocation, Store Operations and the Commercial team.
- Promote property strategies for seasonal mix changes and events, as well as develop stage plan / product flow calendar in partnership with Visual Presentation.
- Provide property specific strategic input to main partner teams at important quarterly development steps and micro-steps.
- Evaluate profit center specific assortment needs and build/adjust strategy changes to improve financial performance (long-range & in-season).
- Partner with the Allocation team to ensure execution of strategies and support in-season business.
- Guide property specific business and strategy meetings
- Establish and direct career development of self and direct reports.

- Create the vision for new opportunities and ability to build the case to support.
- Knowledge of merchandise planning, merchandise math, forecasting, and trend analysis.
- Excellent relationship, collaboration, partnering, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Focus on big picture vision.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and timelines.
- Domestic/International travel may be required.
Education
- Bachelor degree or equivalent, management experience is preferred
