Job Summary:

Support the development of complex, long-term strategic marketing partnerships between The Walt Disney Company and select brands.

Responsibilities:

Support Managers and Overall Team in all Aspects of the Alliance Development Process
  • Lead research efforts on potential categories and companies to identify “right fit” opportunities
  • Distill large levels of complex inputs/information into succinct, organized insights and recommendations to tell a strategic story and related business rationale
  • Lead specific workstreams within the broader alliance to assist the managers through the alliance lifecycle
  • Assist in identifying partnership goals, objectives and appropriate Disney assets and activations
Demonstrate a Bias for Action
  • Lead exploratory conversations to gain alignment with multiple disciplines and businesses within TWDC
  • Proactively solve complex problems; take a new perspective on existing solutions
  • Use industry insights to identify, analyze and recommend new strategic marketing partnerships
  • Operate independently as appropriate and initiate work without the need for consistent direction and guidance from leadership; be comfortable with ambiguity
Exceptional Written and Verbal Communication Skills at All Levels
  • Create both client facing and internal stakeholder presentations and decks (e.g. Keynote, PowerPoint)
  • Build relationships with internal and external partners; mid-to-senior level managers
  • Communicate alliance deal elements to internal key stakeholders
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information with persuasion and influence; work to build consensus
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration including keeping leader up to date regarding the status of each BD effort

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 to 7 years of work experience
  • Demonstrated ability in marketing, business development, or related field that translates into strong overall business acumen
  • Established understanding of the marketing process
  • In-depth knowledge and relevant experience in the ability to turn vision into action while following through on numerous parallel workstreams
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships and influence stakeholders and decision making at multiple levels of a global matrix organization
  • Strong ability to prioritize assignments, pay attention to details and deliver work in a timely manner with minimal direction
  • Demonstrated ability to develop advanced and complex presentations with related deck building skills, e.g. PowerPoint and Keynote
  • Ability to proactively plan, organize and deliver tactical results against a strategic plan
  • Ability to understand basic financial statements
  • Propensity to work with ambiguity; self-driven
  • Ability to persevere and change direction quickly to deliver agreeable resolutions; find win-win solutions.
  • Strong facilitation, influencing, and relationship building skills
  • High degree of professionalism; ability to interact across all levels including C-Suite executives
  • Display “social intelligence” in reading people, handling situations and influencing desired outcome
  • Ability to develop a business case and influence action against that case
  • Demonstrated ability in using written communication and storytelling skills
  • Proficiency in creative and analytical thinking
  • Inquisitive; comfortable with asking questions, gathering information, and seeking necessary levels of detail/feedback

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comfortable working with basic data, financial and forecasting financials
  • Understanding of Salesforce data management system
  • Familiarity with Keynote
  • Familiarity with TWDC portfolio of products and services
  • Utilization of best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve processes or services
