The Senior Manager within WDAT is expected to lead and manage teams of high performing Managers, Architects, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Software Engineers that provide solutions to complex business problems, build robust business critical platforms, run top priority initiatives, provide scientific estimation for the solution, evaluate COSF, build roadmaps and technology strategy. The Senior Manager will be challenged with identifying innovative ideas and proof of concept to deliver against the existing and future needs of our Guests and internal operations

Responsibilities

  1. Develop technology product roadmap, execution plans and delivery strategy for large complex software development initiatives
  2. Lead and manage software applications, COSF and technology platforms across the segment and enterprise
  3. Plays a key role in defining initiatives and contributing to the strategic planning (AOP, ACP and 5YP) for the Business unit
  4. Effectively liaison between solution/architecture engineering, development and operations team to implement large and complex initiatives
  5. Partner with business and technology leaders to define platform, product needs and solve problems
  6. Evaluate and optimize project estimates form internal and staff augmented teams
  7. Create and manage overall CAPEX/OPEX budget for the portfolio and projects with awareness of compliance requirements and target goals
  8. Manage and track key metrics and KPIs for the team and projects in relation to the plan and published progress reports
  9. Ensure product / project deliverables across the delivery teams are consistent, high quality and well documented
  10. Mange and appropriately escalate delivery impediments, risks, issues and change requests to the stakeholders
  11. People management responsibilities for 5-8 CAST members
  12. Provide leadership to direct-report and/or cross-functional teams
  13. Challenge the status quo through intellectual curiosity and natural inquisitiveness to look beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities
  14. Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of proven experience in leading and managing large software development initiatives and building business critical platforms
  • Proven experience in leading and building high performing teams
  • Managed large CAPEX/OPEX budgets, planning and forecasting
  • Technical knowledge of digital environment including Web, Mobile, APIs, BigData, Databases and their interactions
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communication as well as visualizations
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Proven experience in influencing business and technology leadership to drive positive lasting outcomes
  • Solid understanding of program and project management principles
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communication as well as visualizations
  • Deep understanding of the market place, products and suitability to solve business problems across the finance domain. Research, identify, and recommend industry best practices for solving business and technology problems
  • Ability to act as liaison between business and technologies
  • Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to think creatively and to drive innovation.
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum and test driven approach

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services industry a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in people management and leadership role
  • 8+ years of experience in leading and driving large teams and programs
  • Experience in working in a multi-national and multi-cultural work environment
  • Demonstrates strong ability to influence without authority
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to share and present ideas and program details with Senior Executives
  • Ability to embrace organizational change
  • Ability to think creatively beyond normal constraints

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Education

  • PMP or PgMP Certification
  • Agile SCRUM Master Certification
