Within Enterprise Technology, the Service Delivery team is responsible for Hardware Asset, Configuration and Change Management. Our goals are to ensure robust processes and system interfaces are in place to enable accurate identification and collection of hardware asset and configuration data, maintain accuracy through established governance processes and mitigate risk via a mature change management process.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the Hardware Asset Lifecycle process within Enterprise Technology to procure, receive, inventory, operationalize, and eventually dispose of hardware assets.

  • Operate and maintain the multiple automated and manual system integrations to ensure those assets are accurately recorded in the operational database of record (ServiceNow).

  • Ensure Data Models are properly recorded, normalized, and maintained in ServiceNow.

  • Level 3 trouble shooting for issues related to auto discovery including missing credentials, mid-server technical issues, firewall issues, Inventory Reconciliation Engine conflicts, and any other technical issues.

  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships and build consensus among stakeholders across financial and technical peers, leveraging exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Continuously improve processes and tools to automate and provide critical data from ServiceNow to the financial database of record (SAP) to ensure accurate and timely recording of newly purchased Hardware Assets.

  • Technical knowledge of hardware and virtual configurations for Server, Storage, Network, End User Computing, Printers, Cloud, and Business Applications is required to be successful.

  • Maintain the source of truth determination for populating each attribute related to a Configuration Item.

  • Provide support for Level 1/2 offshore team and Level 3 trouble shooting for issues related to systems integrations and data integrity issues.

  • Responsible for auto discovery operation of IT configuration items including the creation and timing of schedules for servers, network, storage, and other IT classes.

  • Ensure data population and data enhancement provided by discovery is properly classifying configuration items along with their attributes and relationships to other upstream/downstream configuration items.

Skills:

  • 6 years IT Hardware Asset and Configuration Management Experience

  • 3 years ServiceNow (hands-on) experience with Configuration, Discovery, and Hardware Asset Management

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in technical field

  • ServiceNow Discovery Fundamentals

  • Certified Hardware Asset Manager

  • ITIL Certification
