Job Summary:

To effectively manage the day to day Themed Finishes Construction activities of the WDI Hong Kong projects in consultation with the Project Team, CMs and FADs with the objective to achieve the Works within the schedule, safety and QA/QC standards, including coordinating all logistics and any related integration of other works


Job Accountability Area

Weightage (%)
Manage Contractors in order to ensure that the works are delivered in accordance with the Project objectives:

· Manage and coordinate Contractors and site activities according to schedule and Safety plan
· Monitor quality of works as per Project QA/QC plan
· Obtain a clear understanding of extent of works and contract documents (specifications, drawings), and review procedure manual in order to obtain a good understanding of company policies and procedures for delivery of works
· Coordinate the planning and organizing of resources, with FAD’s and Contractors, to maximize productivity and progress and control performance through continuous reviews
Report significant issues and project status to senior management in order to facilitate action necessary to meet Project objectives
· Maintain a disciplined adherence to routine procedures and submit reports on time
· Provide constructive comments on planned deliverables
· Maintain an accurate daily site diary of all activities and progress; Record weather, delays, visitors, labor, equipment and materials and all matters that may have implication in delivering the works. Check site diaries on a daily basis and countersign with CM and Contractors
Interact with Safety Manager/Officer in order to address safety issues and to continuously improve the standard of safety of the works as per Safety plan
· Responsible for site safety and ensure that site is clean and tidy at all times
Interact with design team to ensure timely delivery of design details in order to ensure that provision of design information does not delay construction
Interact with project team, CM, architects and other discipline specialists on project progress and to provide development support in order to ensure the project and company objectives are being achieved

· Confer regularly with Project Architect and Construction Manager to review project progress on an informal basis within regular meetings
· Assist CM and architects with preparation of program, method statements, procurement schedules, production reports and registers of materials and equipment
· Carry all the integration works and seek support from all the relevant other disciplines in a timely manner in order to push the works
Liaise with WDI Hong Kong Project teams, Contractors, FAD’s and third parties (including local authorities) in order to manage relationships, concerns and issues

· Develop a good working relationship with the FADs, Contractors and WDI Hong Kong Project teams site representatives
· Ensure efficient communication allowing for immediate response to construction related queries
Implement QA/QC procedures to carry out quality survey ahead and during theming works in order to allow construction to proceed as scheduled

· Make sure all quality survey controls are in place prior to commencement and during Theming Construction activities

Basic Qualifications:

Qualifications and Education: Diploma in relevant architectural and/or construction management discipline

Experience: 5 - 10 years experience in Construction of major projects with a minimum of 5 years site supervision and preferably in Themed Construction works
· Relevant Construction site experience on large facilities projects and/or theme park projects
· Have managed teams and contractors from different disciplines
· Exposure to the demands of a large construction project
· Have managed projects in the region

Training and knowledge: Training and/or knowledge in International Building Codes and standards for all architectural trades. Training and/or knowledge pertaining to Autocad drawings and 3D BIM; Training and/or knowledge in MS Office and other desktop analytical, reporting, and presentation software, scheduling software and Company’s specific construction management systems

Business Understanding: Facilities construction, Contractor’s supervision, site coordination, schedule and planning activities

Additional Information:

· This position requires the individual to be on call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to respond to any given problem which may affect the good course of the project

· This position may require some international travel to support the project development and remain current in the industry

· This position is set in a multi-Cultural work environment that requires understanding and sensitivity of the unique needs, diversity and motivational factors of the project workforce

· This position requires extensive time in the office and in meeting rooms working on computer screens and leading meetings in conference rooms

· This position requires extensive time “in the field” coordinating, surveying and monitoring construction, installation and code compliance. These activities require the individual to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs & ladders, see, hear, feel and smell in various work environments including indoor/outdoor facilities, rooftops, catwalks, high reaches, scaffolding

· This position requires a very knowledgeable and competent individual to be responsible for the safety of all company/contractor employees. Along with this responsibility comes a need for high ethical standards and accurate assessments and evaluations to sustain the highest quality results
