- This role is considered on-site, which means the employee will work from a Company designated location on an ongoing basis.
Self-driven individual contributor as part of the Scientific Systems team under the Facility Services, assisting in troubleshooting of A/V and show control systems and equipment operational issues to develop short-term and life-cycle engineering solutions. Perform software & hardware engineering tasks including engineering analysis, testing, requirements, maintenance, inspection procedures and installation. Successful candidate must be able to work with multiple stakeholders and partners from all levels of the organization to determine data and requirements driven technical solutions. Applicant with less experience will be considered as Controls Support Engineer.
Providing investigative and resolution support for Hong Kong Disneyland attractions for sustainment and improvement of safety level, show quality and reliability
Providing technical support for fulfilling attractions related regulatory requirement (annual ride safety examination)
Undertaking, supporting Integrated Facility Planning (IFP) projects on attraction system, component replacement, upgrade or rehabilitation for asset life cycle management
Integrating A/V and show control systems for attractions. Create, develop, maintain, debug, document, and release software
Create, design, modify, revise and release hardware and wiring drawings and schematics
Participation in park development/expansion projects to build new attractions
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Eng., Electronic Eng., Computer Eng., Computer Science, Communication Eng., or equivalent
Basic Experience / Skills
A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in design, engineering, software programming, implementation, installation, testing and commissioning of architectural A/V systems and show control in entertainment industries
Proficient in programming, integration, testing and commissioning of network based digital A/V systems for theme park, entertainment and theater environment
Experience in network audio distribution and control protocol (TCP, IP, Dante, AES67, Cobranet)
Proficient in working with digital audio platform, processor, show controller, media player, paging and intercom systems. Knowledge and experience in industry-standard audio distribution protocol (Dante , AES67 , QLAN , Cobranet)
Hands-on experience in computerized system troubleshooting, fault analysis using digital data logger and software
Knowledge in MS Windows OS, IT, TCP, IP network, VLAN and network security
Familiarity with QSC devices (Q-Sys Core processor, amplifiers, touch panel), Alcorn McBride (V16 show controller, V-Page), AMX controller
Proficient in programming with Q-Sys Designer, WinScript, AMX
Knowledge in acoustic and managed network switch configuration
Experience in set up and administration of Linux OS
Proficient in programming with Beckhoff automation tools (TwinCAT 2, TwinCAT3, Visual Studio, TwinCAT HMI)
Familiarity with different industrial communication protocols and standards (EtherCAT, EAP, EtherNet/IP, CAN), SMPTE timecode, OPC server
Knowledge and experience in cybersecurity in OT or ICS environment
