This role is responsible for leading, managing and driving the Visual Merchandising (VM) functions of the Merchandise team of Hong Kong Disneyland, which includes creating and developing all VM related concepts and strategies, aligning HKDL VM strategies with Segment (Global) team for best practices and synergy, managing the visual presentation budget, monitoring the compliance of store layouts to ensure unique and cohesive Guest experience and also Cast Safety, managing all external vendors / third party Operating Participants to ensure quality and compliance of related guidelines to reduce potential threat on financial or reputational side of HKDL while optimizing operational efficiency, as well as partnering with various internal stakeholders/counterparts (both Local and Global) on VM initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Formulate VM Strategy and Concepts aligning HKDL and merchandise priorities, communicate and seek management buy in
Managing the team to convert strategy and concepts into action plan, implement and integrate the VM initiatives into Store Operations
Develop guidelines for Store Operations team, manage compliance of all Disney visual standards and guidelines, conduct training sessions as needed to all Store Operations team members.
Ensure the compliance of Show Quality for unique Guest Experience
Responsible for various projects from concept development to planning and execution, work with different Lines of Business to ensure brand integrity
Lead and develop team members, enhance their overall capabilities and build the internal pipelines for succession planning
Develop and manage visual display financial budgets, ensuring they align with merchandise initiatives and priorities, monitor for optimal operational efficiency and achieve cost-effectiveness.
Manage external vendors to ensure quality displays, safe installation and compliance to all regulations and guidelines in a cost-effective way.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or diploma holder in design related discipline;
5-8 years’ relevant experience in Visual Merchandising.
Hands on knowledge in design software
Proficiency in both oral and written English and Chinese
Ability to work with people at different levels and functions in the organization
