This role will be supporting the content acquisition across our linear channels and streaming platform, performing several essential tasks for their continued success.
This person will be involved in all processes related to acquisitions, from the liaison with internal ‘clients’ (Finance, Legal, Marketing, etc.), to constant contact with content providers, and working very closely with the Programming Coordinators and Manager in every aspect related to content.
This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week.
The Opportunity & Responsibilities:
- Handling every step of a negotiation with a distributor, from the initial contact, deal negotiation, contract review up to the aftersales;
- Managing information from licensing agreements making sure it is correctly represented in the programming and accounting/finance systems, as well as any backup files;
- Invoicing processing and payment tracking, related to Acquisitions and Local Productions;
- Review existing contracts in the system to identify any changes, inconsistencies or missing information (series renewals, date changes, changes in the number of episodes, etc.);
- Provide updated information to the Programmers (calendars, US ratings info, etc.), and keeping track of changes to the programming forecasts;
- Back office support to effectively liaise with other departments, maintaining and improving the existing workflows;
- Collect information needed for internal reports (local, regional or global);
The Experience & Skills We Require From You:
- Proven working experience (min 3 years) in similar roles;
- Fluent both in Portuguese and English written and spoken (Spanish is a plus);
- MS Office skills (Excel/Word/PPT); hands-on experience on OnAir or WhatsOn is highly valued.
- Organized, high attention to detail and strong analytical skills;
- Passion for Media, Entertainment and TV business;
- Proactive, motivated, versatile, responsible and a team worker;
- An aptitude for problem-solving will be highly valued;
- Ability to complete tasks with tight timelines, both collaboratively and by self-managing
- Degree in Economics, Management or related areas is preferred.
