- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.

Job Summary:

Our communications team are looking for a passionate and determined professional who thrives on working in a fast paced environment with multiple clients and partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day management of internal communications, public affairs and B2B communications for our Consumer Products, Games and Publishing teams (CPGP). The Communications Manager will work closely with the Communications Director to deliver strong proactive programs in order to connect with our employees and external stakeholders across the region, as well as dealing with media issues as they arise.

With exciting campaigns in the pipeline as we prepare for Disney’s 100th Anniversary, the role will involve both internal and external communications, ranging from crafting messaging, liaising with trade press, landing business stories, developing presentations, writing scripts, and managing integrated communications campaigns. They will also work with licensees and retailers to approve press materials and assets relating to our product lines.

The role will build relationships with the global and EMEA internal communications team to leverage programs and showcase key initiatives. The role will also work closely with ecommerce teams and develop and execute media plans to support shopDisney


  • Develop internal and external communications - presentations, video segments, scripts, talking points and executive perspectives
  • Prepare key messages for executives participating in high profile events, conferences or other forums where media may be present
  • Lead internal communications and executive engagement efforts and strategies within CPGP, providing guidance on regular communications between leaders and global organization
  • Oversee content creation for CPGP’s internal communications platforms, including Town Halls, newsletters, organizational announcements, video series, podcasts and more
  • Conduct presentation preparation and rehearsals, and be on site day of event to manage logistics and handle executive needs (may require domestic and international travel)
  • Manage content development and presentation design for internal and external audiences
  • Manage presence at industry events to drive our key priorities with partners, media and consumers.
  • Craft/pitch business and trade stories tied to the consumer products, games and publishing narrative that is cross-category/cross-franchise.
  • Manage approvals of licensee materials and provide assets related to campaigns and product launches

Professional Qualifications Required

  • Degree level education in a related field or equivalent work experience within relevant industry
  • Significant experience in corporate communications, public relations, or journalism at a corporation, foundation or government
  • Proven experience of building effective relationships, leading and managing change and collaboration across departments to achieve joint goals

Skills Required

  • Ability to translate complicated concepts into clear, compelling language for audiences ranging from key stakeholders, to media, to consumers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective executive communication content requiring minimal editing and rework
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, strategic-thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing and growing environment
  • Ability to understand and work within the legal guidelines provided by the legal department
  • Confident media relations expert with proven track record of dealing with issues
  • Computer literate including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote
  • Fluent English, essential; other European languages, beneficial
  • Exceptional planning and organisation skills
