The Walt Disney Company is looking for a talented E-Commerce Senior Manager, EMEA – Commercial & Marketing Strategy, to join our team based in Hammersmith on a permanent basis


As the E-Commerce Senior Manager, EMEA, you will be responsible for key commercial and marketing initiatives in digital commerce with the ultimate goal of transforming how we enable the digital ecosystem so that consumers can find and buy Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars products at the right place and the right time.

Acting as the commercial business owner for a number of pan-EU growth channels with Amazon, you will recommend and lead initiatives to transform The Walt Disney Company’s (TWDC) online marketing to shoppers.

You will lead new business development with Amazon for a number of high-profile growth projects. This will require strong commercial acumen and an ability to work across stakeholders within TWDC and Amazon, in Licensing, Category, Partnerships and Marketing, often across multiple local markets as well.

Engaging confidently with key retailer and licensee contacts, you will represent TWDC as a digital thought leader and must develop a thorough understanding of the competitive environment to educate and consult with category leaders.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Identifying and analysing various business metrics such as sales, earned revenue, traffic, and conversion to plan, execute and assess business initiatives in conjunction with local market teams.
  • Developing social selling and content-driven affiliate marketing programmes, as well as discovery and reviews aggregators such as Google Shopping, ShopStyle and BazaarVoice.
  • Testing and scaling our programme of retail performance marketing on platforms such as Amazon Media Services and Criteo Sponsored Products.
  • Developing and managing new business processes across multiple functional teams, especially Integrated Retail, Licensing, Digital Marketing, Marketing Technology, and Franchise Marketing.
  • Creating an end-to-end analytical framework to help the organization interpret and take action on data.

Basic Qualifications

  • A University Degree or equivalent work experience and B2C experience in e-commerce and/or consulting
  • Outstanding analytical skills and experience in planning and forecasting, data analysis and business modelling
  • Professional experience in an online, retail, e-commerce or a consulting environment
  • Proven project management skills with coordination across multiple teams
  • Proven use of supporting tools and systems to deliver business improvement
  • Passionate self-starter, decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas
  • Ability to problem-solve using creative thinking and innovation
  • Enthusiasm for online retailing and the willingness to quickly build up your knowledge in the consumer products sector
  • Commercial and negotiation experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • An MBA from a leading business school is beneficial
  • Experience in online paid marketing (search, Shopping, display, video, affiliate, and social) and site merchandising
  • Experience in vendor management or as a vendor in e-commerce, especially in Toys, Softlines, and Baby/Infant
