Job Title: Finance Analyst (9 Month Contract)                                  
Location: Hammersmith, London                                          
Reporting to: Senior Finance Manager, Retail

Job Summary

We are currently recruiting an Interim Finance Analyst to support the Retail teams across Consumer Products EMEA to maximise Earned Revenue via the analysis of white space, development of action plans, recommendations on trade marketing activations, and improved performance measurements.

This role within the Retail Finance team will have particular focus on analysing the macro retail landscape and internal white space trending to identify areas to target.

The Opportunity & Responsibilities:

Macro Trending

  • Own the Economic Scorecard, summarising the local market trends within Retail Sales, GDP, Inflation & Consumer Confidence
  • Utilise Retail Landscape Dashboards to evaluate macro trends by category and retailer
  • Keep up to date with Consumer Behaviour reports from macro sources Edge / Euromonitor etc.
  • Calculate Disney’s market share, highlighting under-indexed areas

White Space Analysis

  • Analyse the Revenue Heatmap in collaboration with macro trends, to flag white space for each market at a Category and Franchise level
  • Draw conclusions from weekly Point of Sale data to establish successes & problem areas by Retailer, Franchise and Category, highlighting those that need corrective action plans

Standardise Feedback Templates

  • Develop a standardised template to request Licensee feedback on Retailer Split
  • Build, prepopulate and distribute the templates for local Retailer ER estimates and consolidation
  • Create ad-hoc templates as required, to enable standardised feedback into Regional teams


  • Support the team in creating slides for a Quarterly Retail deep-dive deck, focused on macro trends, retailer action plans and white space analysis.
  • Support the Retail Finance Team with ad-hoc projects when required
  • Mentor intern

The Experience We Require From You:

  • Professional Accounting Qualification (may be part-qualified)
  • Experience of similar role within Retail / Entertainment / FMCG 
  • Demonstrable track record of providing commercial support to a business partner that is insightful, timely and responsive
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to produce clear and insightful presentations that deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of detail
  • Numerical and analytical with a desire to think through and resolve problems
  • Result-focused and outcome-driven
