Job Summary:

We have a great opportunity for a FP&A Finance Manager to join our Media Networks team on an initial one year FTC. Media Networks is the primary unit of The Walt Disney Company that contains the company’s vast array of television networks, cable channels, associated production and distribution companies, and owned and operated television stations across two divisions – Walt Disney Television and ESPN.

Responsibilities:

The Opportunity & Responsibilities:
  • You will responsible for managing the delivery of complete, timely and accurate reporting of the European Ad Sales business for all reporting cycles: AOP, forecasts, long range plan and quarter close, working closely with the Senior Finance Manager.
  • You will work with the Regional Media Networks controllership and FP&A teams in the UK and US to review processes and deliverables to ensure our reporting is efficient and effective, aligning FNG, NGP and Disney reporting requirements.
  • Business partner to the VP, Integrated TV and Key Accounts, and the VP, Nat Geo Brand Partnerships and their respective teams, providing financial and commercial support, analysis and insights across the European linear and Digital Ad Sales markets.
  • You provide business insights to our key stakeholders, sharing key KPI reporting and trends, reviewing business models and updating/sharing financial projections and actuals on a timely basis to identify and clearly communicate key risks and opportunities as we continue to integrate and pivot our businesses.
  • Develop close relationships with the wider EMEA Media Finance team, with a ‘one team’ approach’. Build a network amongst the finance community across lines of business, markets, Burbank, Washington DC and controllership, sharing resources and knowledge.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to provide ad hoc finance support to the finance leadership across all Media lines of business.


Basic Qualifications:

The Experience We Require From You:
  • Media experience a must. Channels and Ad Sales highly advantageous.
  • ACA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant experience in business partnering, financial planning and analysis.
  • Working with financial IT systems, SAP/BW, Cognos Reporting and excellent proven Excel skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of providing commercial support to business partners that is insightful, timely and responsive
  • Ability to produce clear and insightful presentations that deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of detail incorporating input from multiple stakeholders.
