Job Summary:

Marketing Supervisor

A great opportunity has arisen for a marketing supervisor to join the dynamic marketing team of The Disney Theatre Group. The DTG EMEA team is based out of the Hammersmith office but spends regular time at the office within the Lyceum Theatre in Covent Garden. The team is responsible for the commercial success of Disney’s self-produced productions in the UK and for overseeing licensed productions across EMEA, including stage shows and the extensive Disney on Ice business which is managed by FELD Entertainment.

The Marketing Supervisor provides significant support to the Marketing Manager in developing, implementing and reporting dynamic and innovative consumer marketing campaigns and will contribute in achieving fiscal financial targets. The role oversees the day-to-day management of marketing and publicity activity for Disney’s West End production of ALADDIN.

The role collaborates with marketing, sales and production colleagues as well as retained agencies (as applicable) to ensure sales driven campaigns are implemented in order to meet ambitious financial goals.

Responsibilities:

The role will support the Marketing Manager and lead, with their guidance, in the following areas:
  • SELF-PRODUCED PRODUCTIONS IN THE UK, INCLUDING ALADDIN
    • Plan and execute industry-leading integrated marketing campaigns in line with the DTG marketing and communications strategy
    • Oversee the efforts of marketing and PR agencies
    • Collaborate closely with the DTG Sales & Ticketing department to ensure weekly AOP goals are achieved for the production
    • Partner with box offices to provide detailed and informative audience analysis to assist with strategy planning
    • Develops and enhance DTG relationship with third party ticket agents to ensure continued support of London productions
    • Proactively explore new ways to engage group and education audiences, taking the lead on new initiatives
    • Partner with Outreach & Education Manager to find new opportunities to drive engagement with the education programme
    • Develop creative briefs and oversee development of artwork and messaging for communications
    • Supervise the creation of video and photographic content
    • Work with press representatives to facilitate PR visits, including meetings, hospitality and backstage tours
    • Work in conjunction with DTG commercial team to identify and exploit all franchise communication and revenue opportunities across the wider business – particularly around the live action studio release of ALADDIN
    • Act as a brand ambassador to ensure ALADDIN’s core values are properly represented
    • Support in the planning and execution of market research projects to further develop communications
    • Contribute to the achievement of fiscal financial target for ALADDIN
  • BUDGET/SAP
    • Maintain marketing budget for ALADDIN in London, seeking out cost efficiencies, monitoring actual expenditure versus plan
    • Ensure that POs are raised and invoices paid in a timely manner
    • Work at all times within the assigned budgets
  • ARCHIVE MANAGEMENT
    • Oversee maintenance of archive system to ensure all campaign materials are correctly uploaded on a timely basis

Basic Qualifications:

Experience
  • Marketing degree, or equivalent, preferred
  • Significant experience of managing the marketing of live entertainment, preferably in West End or touring theatre
  • Experience of, and an interest in, a diverse range of live entertainment
  • Proven ability to prioritize effectively while multitasking across numerous projects
  • Creative design acumen to manage approvals
  • Demonstrated success in building strong relationships
  • Strong administration skills with solid accuracy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask across a diverse and changing workload
  • Proactive and enthusiastic team player
  • Experience and an interest in a diverse range of live entertainment
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and PowerPoint
