Job Summary:

Provide essential support to the Marketplace Manager in the management of Marketplace accounts, their performance and their relationships working to maximize potential. Lead internal communication on the department championing the Marketplace business model across the wider business.

Responsibilities:

  • As required, contribute to the sales, stock and margin planning for each individual Marketplace account, feeding into GPC planning teams
  • Work with GPC teams to maximise trading opportunities for Marketplace accounts keeping on track of all GPC trading and making suggestions back to Marketplace Manager per Marketplace account
  • Proactively contribute to the departmental operating procedures and maintain flexibility to adapt and evolve these as the business model changes. Monitor and potentialise departmental KPI’s including NOS, Buy Box, Conversion and performance vs SD
  • As defined by the Marketplace Manager, trade each Marketplace account to maximise the opportunity and return – utilise partner optimisation and discoverability tools
  • With the Marketplace Manager, manage item pricing, full price, promotions, mark-downs and pricing to win listings and control the buy box in conjunction with GPC
  • Manage account portals and dashboards. Use partner portals and dashboards to monitor discoverability levers, make recommendations and manage communication
  • Manage departmental tools including planning and handover files and the Product Tracker. Manage product uploads and proactively check the Marketplace portals
  • Utilise analytics and data to make recommendations to the Marketplace Manager to maximise the accounts performance
  • Undertake daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports of accounts and general trade communicating to the wider business proactively making recommendations to drive the business
  • Undertake proactive standard and ad hoc analysis with clear recommendations to support change with the account to drive the opportunity and return
  • With the Marketplace Merchandising Assistant, run meeting minutes and departmental trackers
  • Work closely with DTCR Marketing to analyse, report on, make decisions, and take actions, as approved by the Marketplace Manager, to maximise opportunity and return
  • Work closely with brand and image to maximise product listings on the e-commerce sites. Support in Jira and drive A+ and other creative optimization tools. Actively participate in product handovers
  • Work closely with the North America (NA) Marketplace team in partnership with the Marketplace Manager, reporting on and analysing their performance to discover trends and trade opportunities
  • Run manual sales uploads for the finance team
  • Drive awareness of E-Commerce and Marketplaces within the wider business

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Merchandiser with some e-commerce experience, desirable
  • Understanding of retail merchandising and experience within a retail head office environment essential
  • Experience in analytics, desirable
  • Experience of supporting and overseeing the performance of other team members, beneficial
  • Demonstrable experience of working in teams and building effective relationships
