Job Summary:

Following the successful launch of Star, Disney's new general entertainment tile within Disney+, our Talent Acquisition team are looking for a Professional Recruiter on a 6 month FTC to support growth specifically within our Media teams. As a part of the TA COE (Centre of Excellence), you will be supporting our mission to provide Disney with the best talent in the market, whilst also prioritising our company pillar around diverse representation within our organisation.

Reporting to our TA Manager for Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, you will be responsible for driving equitable recruitment and hiring processes within our Media teams, using technology to deliver best in class talent, and strong stakeholder engagement to continually delight and exceed our colleagues expectations of TA. Our goal is, even in this short period of time, for you to become an SME for the area of the business that you support, and ultimately becoming a valued business partner to the Media team when it comes to attracting, retaining, and even promoting talent within Disney. In this role you will be recruiting a broad spectrum of Sales, Marketing, and Operations roles.

With the expert guidance of our TA Director who continues to drive the strategy of TA across the business, this role allow us to focus on delivering on the lofty growth plans that Disney has, especially with the success of new products like Disney+ and Star. This role will be hired on an initial 6 month FTC, but has potential to extend.


  • Responsible for the full life-cycle recruitment process creating the hiring strategy for the client to fully understand the requirements of each vacancy to ensure the shortlisted CVs are of the quality desired.
  • Decide on the most appropriate methodology including direct sourcing, head hunting, advertising, agencies and exploring internal solutions
  • Proactively partner and lead relationships with Hiring Managers (up to Director level) to discuss and make recommendations on resourcing issues (temporary, permanent, fixed term) as well as looking at the most effective manner/way to source candidates (True Subject Matter Experts).
    • Ensuring delivery of a service that is customer focused, value-add, and cost effective
  • Create talent pipelines for future requirements where appropriate
  • Create compelling copy that will attract quality candidates to our vacancies
  • Keep accurate candidate details and ensure Kenexa (ATS) is maintained at all times.
  • Participate and contribute to collaborative efforts across the EMEA TA and HR COE’s
  • Ensuring the global recruitment system (Kenexa) and data processes are fully utilised and all records are kept up to date and accurate (and in line with GDPR requirements).
    • Responsible for quality and data integrity of all related recruitment information, including all offers of employment via GHRO
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition Manager to promote The Walt Disney Company’s employer brand using social media and other tools to generate interest in the company as a great place to work.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience of end-to-end recruitment in an in-house or RPO environment is preferable
  • Experience from either the Media or Entertainment industry is desirable (but not essential)
  • Experience in a large, multinational corporate environment preferred
  • Confident Stakeholder Management
  • Comfortable hiring volume positions remotely
Skills Required:
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, service-driven, corporate environment
  • Experience of using an Applicant Tracking system or similar, recruitment-focused software
  • Knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter and other social recruiting platforms
  • Strong familiarity with Boolean and X-Ray searching techniques
  • Experience of managing a requisition list of circa 15 varied vacancies concurrently
  • Proven ability to influence and motivate diverse stakeholders including candidates and, where appropriate, Line Managers
  • Familiarity with using recruitment metrics to monitor performance
