Job Summary:Revenue Analyst
We have an exciting opportunity to join the revenue team.The Revenue Accounting shared service centre manages all the financial deliverables throughout Europe, Middle East, & Africa. The team’s mission is to provide exceptional service to Disney customers and to Disney internal stakeholders through technical expertise in contracts and accounting.
The Revenue Analyst will manage the full royalty accounting lifecycle for merchandise and publishing royalties, assist with the quarterly close process, and support the team with the implementation of projects and new procedures. This role works with the Disney Licensees, as well as category managers and finance, to process royalty statements and associated accounting entries. In addition, this role performs licensee account analysis and other value-added financial analyses.
Responsibilities:Collect, validate and post royalties and revenue related accounting transactions and investigate and resolve validation issues. Send invoices related to advances and royalties, and address billing inquiries from Licensees and Credit & Collections. Serve as a resource and provide guidance and training to team members. Ensure revenue recognition policies are adhered to and invoicing process is complete and accurate. Partner with other teams, including but not limited to Contract Administration, Credit and Collections, and IT, to ensure timely resolution of issues and revenue analysis.
Perform quarter close procedures by posting manual and guarantee shortfall accruals, and investigating variances between licensee statements, front of house systems, and SAP.
Perform ad-hoc request analysis, and participate in systems and process improvement projects. Provide support for audit and SOX requests.
- Relevant qualification or certification in Accounting or Finance or equivalent preferred
- Established experience within an accounting or finance role
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency
- Licensing revenue accounting experience
- Experience of working within a Consumer Products or Retail environment preferred
- Knowledge of the media, entertainment, or retail industries preferred
