Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join the team working on EMEA original productions across the Disney+/Star streaming platform.
The team is responsible for the marketing strategy and positioning of these diverse new series and creating the best creative suite of assets in order to optimise the appeal to global audiences. The goal is to deliver marketing and PR creative assets, as well as the production and management of the artwork used on the Disney+ platform itself. This involves close liaison with the production and Disney+ marketing/comms teams, locally, regionally, and internationally, via the US, to ensure all requirements for creative assets are met. We also work with Marketing Operations in London and the US around asset management, ensuring the correct specifications are created for title treatments, trailers, key art, etc, and to have visibility over localisation plans.

A key area is stakeholder management and we regularly engage with production companies, creative agencies, unit publicists, photographers, and talent.

Our broad remit involves us being brand ambassadors for these stories internally and within the industry where we work closely with festival organisers to ensure representation for our content and manage the awards strategy.
The role will be key in developing the European strategy for talent relations, awards, and festivals, along with managing all the photography needs of the department.

Responsibilities:

Key elements and required results of the role
  • Leading the marketing strategy for Original Productions across Europe; identifying key marketing and PR opportunities and factoring in any global and regional considerations with a focus on addressing feedback, managing workflow, and acting as cross departmental liaison (across creative development, production management, business affairs, D+ Marketing, PR and operations
  • Working with the Originals Development team from project inception and inputting on key marketable/PR elements for greenlight memos
  • Creating the marketing and PR positioning for each original series to inform the final marketing and PR strategy.
  • Acting as the regional hub, optimise coordination and best practice between the local markets, and guide local D+ marketing teams through creative milestone processes and key deliverable requirements for Originals.
  • Regular liaison with D+/Star Marketing and PR local teams across Europe to highlight opportunities early to ensure the series are duly considered in their planning process
  • Responsible for in-service deliverables across AV and static and ensure key deadlines are met.
  • Manage the relationship with the global operations team and ensure visibility of all upcoming projects.
  • Securing access to talent/production for all required marketing/publicity assets eg. set for photo and video shoots as well as PR opportunities.
  • Develop creative briefs in close collaboration with Disney+ and production companies, and act as the central point of contact with agencies - hire, manage and give feedback to create the best creative toolkits including key art, trailers, social assets.
  • Assigning Unit publicist and appropriate photographer
  • Work closely with various internal teams to accommodate their photography needs (D+ marketing and comms) as well as building a network of freelance photographers.
  • Responsible for implementing new workflows and systems for photography and talent approvals, and managing the process of all unit, gallery, episodic, and special shoot photography working with relevant agencies
  • Talent relationship management
  • This role will facilitate any TV industry events and activities eg. Panels, speaker opps, events, etc at Edinburgh Film Festival, Content London, Canneseries, etc.
  • Build the EMEA Originals awards strategy
  • Budget management and tracking
Number of years experience, Qualifications, and People Management experience
  • Proven experience within Marketing at Senior Manager level
  • Previous experience in a TV/Film marketing/media environment essential
  • Experience in showrunner and agency relationship building essential
