Job Summary:

Overall Purpose of the Role

Provide essential support to the Senior Trade Manager and Trade Manager with the planning and trading of the e-commerce sites with specific accountabilities for own market and to support all related administrative processes within the department.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Actively participate in weekly team meeting to review trade and plan for the week ahead. Present previous week’s trading results for the coming weeks for all markets to all key stakeholders
  • Proactively analyse and update trading reports to monitor online product performance and make recommendations for actions to take to Senior Trade Manager and Trade Manager
  • Considering homepage priorities and online exclusive promotional activity, effectively communicate online store forecasts to the Planning teams to enable Distribution to manage warehouse stock for online fulfilment
  • Communicate trading results and future trading plans to other DTCR function teams including but not limited to planning, guests service, brand and image, buying and marketing
  • Manage product availability online; review and recommend minimum quantities and maximum order limits for all websites based on business requirements
  • Provide frequent (quarterly, monthly, weekly) analysis to key stakeholders to understand product performance

Areas of Accountability

  • Accountable to the Senior Trade Manager and Trade Manager
  • Accountable for generating reporting for the trading team
  • Accountable for proactively analysing and updating trading reports to monitor online product performance and making recommendations for actions to take to Senior Trade Manager and Trade Manager
  • Accountable within the scope of the role for overseeing product availability online
  • Accountable for checking all sites on day of launch to ensure everything has launched successfully and accurately
  • Accountable for accurate and timely trade change communications to all stakeholders

Experience & Professional Qualification

  • Proven experience as a Trade Merchandising Assistant, Merchandising Assistant, or Allocator/Distributor, essential
  • Experience within e-commerce, desirable
  • Understanding of retail merchandising and experience within a retail head office environment, essential
  • Experience in analytics, beneficial
  • Demonstrable experience of working in teams and building effective
  • Experience of participating in report building within Excel, beneficial

  • Highly numerate
  • Computer literate (MS Office package) with advanced level of proficiency in Excel
  • Exceptional planning and organisation skills
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • Exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven ability building effective relationships
  • Cultural sensitivity

Additional Information

  • Flexibility for occasional travel may be required
  • Contribution to ad-hoc projects as the business requires
  • Flexible hours may be required to meet business needs
