JOB DESCRIPTION

A Day in the Life…

At 20th Century Studios Films, our goal is to identify and develop family content that will appeal to all audiences.  Think along the lines of NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN, and PERCY JACKSON and you’ll have a better sense of the worlds and stories we’re exploring. You’ll be assisting our creative team in the script development process to create material that parents and children will delight in watching together.

Intern job duties:

  • Assist in updating and adding to division databases
  • Provide office support where necessary including covering phones, maintaining office supplies, filing, providing notes, etc.
  • Research and identify potential content that will fit the division mandate
  • Handle special projects as needed
  • Read and cover material

Learning objectives:

  • Gain a better understanding of the changing landscape of the film industry
  • Experience an introduction to the film development process, with an eye towards all-audience content

What we are looking for…

  • Must be able to handle highly confidential material with the utmost discretion
  • Must possess an upbeat positive attitude with a strong attention to detail
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to learn new applications

(Preferred Qualifications)

  • Familiarity with film industry and/or filmmaking process preferred

Additional Information

Internship Eligibility:

  • All students must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • All students must be at least 18 years old
  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
  • All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.

Program Dates:

  • All candidates must be available from May/June – August/September
  • All candidates must be willing to work up to 40 hours/week
