- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
FX is seeking an Art Director of Motion Design to concept and create motion design and brand packaging for FX Original series and the brand. The Art Director will be responsible for inspiring the best creative output and maintaining continuity and quality control while perpetuating creative and design aesthetics across all deliverables throughout the entire lifecycle.
Support the Creative Directors with concept creation, vendor selection, pitches and presentations, design and animation, and quality control of all project related assets
Provide direction to the designers and vendors to develop original and unique aesthetics and ensure consistency across campaigns and platforms
Partner with the Production team on scheduling and planning to ensure the creative team stays on schedule, while maintain the best quality output
Research the latest trends in art, design, animation, and the competitive landscape
Participate in discovery and implementation of new technologies and creative styles
4-year degree in design, art, film or television strongly preferred
5+ years’ experience in a design related field
Must have prior art and/or creative direction and title or motion design experience in entertainment or commercial advertising
Must have experience in designing and creating multiple campaigns in print and on-air
Proficient in Mac, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Advanced skills in design and animation software/technologies preferred
Experience with Maya, Cinema 4D and Houdini strongly preferred
Experience in film/video production and/or visual effects strongly preferred
Must be able to effectively communicate, direct, and lead in-house design teams, creative personnel, editors and outside vendors
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior organizational, problem solving and project management skills
Must be able to ability to multitask and work effectively under daily time constraints in a high pressure environment
