The Twentieth Century Fox Television Financial Reporting Group provides financial statements and analysis to Disney Television Studios Management.  This department is responsible for reporting the financial performance of hundreds of shows over different markets, covering Twentieth Century Fox Television, Fox21 Television Studios and Searchlight TV.  The Manager of this team will be focused on providing monthly/quarterly analysis and preparation of divisional financial statements.

The purpose of this job is to be a key member on the team to consolidate, analyze and provide management with financial analysis for Twentieth Century Fox Television, Fox21 Television Studios and Searchlight Television (all under Walt Disney Television). This role will be responsible for reviewing monthly reconciliations, journal entries and quarterly support.  This role will also be responsible for joint venture accounting (Regency TV Joint Venture), handling external/internal audit requests, and SOX 404 compliance.  In addition, this position will require developing and maintaining good relationships with external partners (production accounting, financial reporting, business affairs, A/R billing and other accounting segment groups). This position will play an important role to help the team to prioritize tasks and keep track of the project processes.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Review the monthly/quarterly divisional and consolidated P&L financial statements
  • Review monthly reconciliations and research
  • Prepare quarterly schedules, rollforwards and footnote disclosures
  • Maintain general ledger and assist in SAP integration
  • Participate in the design and implementation of automated functions and reports
  • Compile financial information for external and internal auditors
  • Coordinate with SOX teams for quarterly deliverables and testing
  • Assist in the preparation of the tax packages
  • Handle various ad hoc projects and requests as needed


  • Minimum:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Preferred:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Work Experience:


  • Big 4 or public accounting background, preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting
  • Minimum 8+ years relevant work experience
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience, preferred
  • Strong excel skills with ability to extract data, use pivot tables and leverage macros
  • Aptitude using various systems including SAP, Hyperion, PeopleSoft or similar enterprise level software
  • Professional presentation, communication (both oral and written), analytical, organizational, and relationship building skills
  • Strong follow-through on all projects; ability to bring projects to timely completion
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • CPA preferred
