FoxNext Games, an award winning world-class mobile game development studio, is in search of a Senior Character Artist to join our development team on MARVEL STRIKE FORCE.

Our ideal candidate is a strong creative contributor who has a keen eye for appealing characters, while consistently demonstrating exceptional modeling and texturing skills within a game production environment.    


FoxNext Games Los Angeles is on a never-ending mission to create unforgettable games for mobile devices. Our studio was built by passionate game makers dedicated to crafting playful, smart, addictively fun experiences. Located just three miles from the Pacific Ocean in Playa Vista CA, you’ll be working with some of the best developers in the world from hit games and franchises including Command & Conquer, Battle for Middle-earth, Empires & Allies, and Diablo.

Day to Day

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of anatomy in all of the work you create
  • Create appealing character models that reflect the personalities of Marvel Characters
  • Collaborate with concept, tech art and animation team to create efficiencies and improvements to the character art pipeline.
  • Consistently strive to exceed the highest quality standards of the studio
  • Mentor, train and provide feedback to other character artists on the team as needed
  • Effectively manage the character art pipeline

Required Experience and Skills

  • 4+ years of creating game-ready character art in a video game production environment
  • Portfolio displaying exceptional texturing and digital sculpting skills on both organic and hard surface assets
  • Experience creating stylized characters, or transferable experience using PBR standards
  • Thorough understanding of the character art pipeline
  • Expert knowledge of Maya, Zbrush, Substance Designer/Painter and Photoshop
  • Art related college or university degree: BA or BFA
  • Excellent problem solving skills with an ability to identify, troubleshoot and provide solutions for issues as they relate to the character art pipeline
  • Superior communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills

Desirable Experience and Skills:

  • Experience working on AAA game titles, or other transferable character asset creation
  • Experience with cloth, physics, and VFX systems
  • Strong skills in traditional sculpting, painting or drawing
  • Experience with mobile development, live F2P games in particular
  • Experience with character rigging and skinning
  • Credit on multiple shipped titles
