Job Summary:

As a Software Engineer on the Build & Release team within the Developer Platform Engineering organization at Disney Streaming, you’ll develop and support mission-critical infrastructure, custom tools, and shared libraries that allow application teams to quickly and dependably deliver software to their customers. 


  • Work with a team of engineers building software in a collaborative development process

  • Build and maintain pipeline libraries to abstract build, release, and deploy events for use by dozens of development organizations

  • Work directly with app development teams to determine needs and implement CI/CD best practices

  • Support critical deployment systems for the entire organization

  • Participate in the code review process by providing feedback on pull requests

  • Participate in the on-call rotation, supporting systems and services during production incidents


  • 2+ years hands-on experience in software development with an understanding of CI/CD processes and tools and a desire to learn more.

  • Familiarity with Jenkins and other CI/CD pipeline tools

  • Understanding of Docker and exposure to container orchestration systems such as ECS or Kubernetes

  • Coding experience in Groovy, Java, Scala, Python, JavaScript, or another high-level programming language 

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Hands on experience with AWS

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with remote team members

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Understanding of source control concepts and exposure to Git

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $97,498 to $130,790 per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
