Job Description: Senior Analyst – Strategy

Location: Primarily Century City, with flexibility to travel to Burbank office as necessary

Job Description

The Senior Analyst of Strategy will play a critical role in supporting strategic planning, content and talent valuations, financial analyses and ad hoc operational and strategic initiatives. A successful candidate will possess strong hard and soft skills as this role collaborates closely with teams across the organization.


  • Perform analyses around greenlighting, deal negotiations, talent valuations and co-production structures across various platforms (Broadcast, Cable and streaming) to support decision making
  • Analyze the financial and strategic impact of key decisions, new business models and new initiatives
  • Support development of the Annual Operating Plan and Long Range Plan, including drafting management presentations
  • Partner with stakeholders across the studio business (Business Affairs, Production / Production Finance, Creative) and across the broader Walt Disney Company to execute on key business initiatives  
  • Track and report on key performance metrics. Potential projects may include: production cost optimization, utilization of talent deals, etc.
  • Support Strategy and Finance teams in performing ad hoc strategic analysis and creating executive-level presentations


  • Strong financial modeling and PowerPoint skills
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience. Media and entertainment, strategy, consulting and/or investment banking experience preferred
  • Self-starter with ability to balance multiple priorities and resolve issues quickly in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work well with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization including senior-level executives
  • Agility and flexibility in strategic thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to maintain both a rigorous attention to detail and a big-picture, strategic mindset
  • Comfortable working both independently and as a member of a collaborative team


  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance or analytical discipline
