Job Summary:The Employee Relations Development Manager is responsible for delivering solutions, tools, and trainings that shape and advance culture, performance, and the employee experience through integrated partnerships within the HR function and beyond. The ER Development Manager is the Project Manager owner in charge of some of the key project enabling the ER function to be operational in the next coming months.
The Employee Relations Development Manager is responsible for setting up a project management handbook portfolio, select who are the stakeholders of each projects, the timelines integrating key partners across the Walt Disney Company to drive solutions that promote employee engagement and business results, and also to develop and to monitor kpis and data in partnerships with ER International.
The Employee Relations Development Manager must manage and administer a broad range of tasks and projects, which include ensuring adherence to and the proper administration of the performance management process and all the initiatives identified as being part of the ER implementation journey. The Employee Relations development Manager is also responsible to identify training opportunities with business leaders, employees, and HR colleagues on appropriate employee relations issues to maintain a productive workforce and to ensure compliance with French laws or collective rules. This individual will leverage data and analysis to identify emerging internal and external trends regarding employee issues and work closely with the HR Business Partner community to develop comprehensive, proactive plans and strategies to ensure a positive employee experience and to mitigate risk to the business.
Proactively identify, develop, implement and sustain integrated ER-related strategies or solutions to align with HR client and/or business leaders
Engage with the Employee Relations Manager and her Team to discuss and propose continuous improvement opportunities to foster a positive Employee Relations organization. Promote knowledge, understanding and compliance with regard to company policy and relevant employment laws through coaching, presentations and training.
Collaborate with other HR functional team members through a consultative approach to help assess organization effectiveness and develop and implement integrated ER action plans.
Initiate a proactive, strategic approach to employee relations by identifying and analyzing ER data/metrics for themes, trends, and root cause identification.
Produce written material in a logical and comprehensive manner for internal and external audiences. Deliver relevant business solutions, tools, and resources to support and positively shape the employee experience.
Lead or sometimes assist with project work as needed to include thought partnership, training, research, and other contributions that support the business.
Partner closely with Labor Relations, HR Business Partners, and other HR/DI functional teams in order to advance the work.
Engage with ER team members across The Walt Disney Company to assist with advancing case work and other ER initiatives as needed/directed. Develop and monitor global data reporting.
Identifies, co-develops, and facilitates training programs to support the implementation of procedures, policies, and programs.
Deliver relevant business solutions, tools, and resources to support and positively shape the employee experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources, labor relations, and/or equivalent work experience
Minimum 10-years leadership experience Proven business acumen, strong decision-making, and root cause/analysis skills
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work collaboratively, lead and influence at all levels within the organization, and make decisions while keeping partners and leaders informed
Proven experience in managing multiple projects with clear time management and prioritization skills
Demonstrated proficient written/verbal communication and facilitation/presentation skills
Proven experience and strong understanding of continuous improvement and measurement processes
English level B2 minimum
