- This role is considered on-site, which means the employee will work from a Company designated location on an ongoing basis.

Job Summary:

He/she is a member of the team of a television studio/set, participates in an essential way in the production of recorded or live programs. He is in charge of what happens in the studio and supervises that everything is ready according to the needs and instructions of the production and the project to be carried out.

Responsibilities:

  • The Floor Manager is a link between the production booth and the set.
  • Transmits the indications of the producer or director to the talents or technical personnel located in the studio.
  • Has authority on set to make decisions related to work and discipline within the studio/set.
  • Execute vocal or mimic counts for recording or broadcast inputs and outputs.
  • In the case of a newscast or live programs and/or when the talent for some reason does not have a prompter, the floor manager must give support by giving concrete instructions to the talent to indicate whether the host should continue, cut, change information or send to commercials; such instructions usually come from the production booth.
  • He/she is responsible for putting microphone and IFB to talent, checking that the batteries of these gear are new or have enough charge. Make tests with the audio operator so that the microphone/IFB works correctly.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Technical career or degree related to the media / Bachelor degree in Communications
  • key Competences: Work under pressure and ability to react to eventual setbacks within the television studio. Ease of speech and ability to communicate with everyone. Ability and creativity to solve problems in the studio/set. Punctuality. Coordinate activities, functions, instructions of the personnel located within the studio/set. Supervise issues as technical, scenery, conduct, among others within the studio/set.
  • Technical / specific expertise: Preferably should have general knowledge of different technical areas: audio, lighting, cameras, etc.
  • Microphone systems - Intermediate
  • IFB systems - Intermediate
  • Other: Supervise technical issues, scenery, wardrobe, conduct, among others within the studio. Acceptable general culture (sometimes the Floor Manager is an information support for talents and colleagues on the floor).
  • Intermediate level of English
