JOB DESCRIPTION
Department : Accounting, Walt Disney Company (Japan) Ltd.
Position : Senior Financial Accounting Analyst
The position is responsible for the quarterly close review and ad-hoc business supports for CPGP / WDI & Corporate / Hulu Japan and the preparation of statutory FS and various tax returns / payments under the supervision of Senior Manager.
General areas of responsibility are as follows:
Plan to Consolidate
- Review quarterly US GAAP closing
- Address questions from Burbank & Regional Controllership and Local clients.
- Provide ad-hoc business supports to LOB related to accounting and tax matters.
- Prepare corporate income tax filing schedules.
- Review consumption tax reconciliation.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and business analyses
- Support the transfer pricing documentation including comprehensive control of intercompany agreements.
- Review lease accounting
System Maintenance and Enhancement
- Support LOBs on their system implementation with areas impact SAP.
- Assist IFS team for new release / testing for SAP and Front-of-house systems.
Internal/ External Working Relationships:
- Internal: LOB Finance and business teams, Regional Controllership, DWSS Tower Leads, Internal Auditors
- External: External Auditors, Tax Authorities, Japan Tax Advisor, Local banks
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree
US CPA or equivalent
Experience:
5-7 years working experience in Accounting/Finance Department at Multinational Company
Tax return preparation/Statutory reporting experience
Financial closing both US GAAP and Japan GAAP
Language :
Japanese - Native or Fluent
English - Business or Fluent
Computer Knowledge:
Knowledge of SAP
Advanced knowledge of Excel, working knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must
Professional Attributes
Strong technical and problem solving skills
Team player and good interpersonal skill
Strong Knowledge on US GAAP and Japan GAAP
