Job Summary:

Overall Purpose of the Role :-

This role is responsible for technical development, implementation, enhancement & maintenance used to support all business process across the LOBs. Should have solid technical infrastructure experience.

Technical scope includes knowledge about all aspects of Server Hardware, Storage, Virtualizations, Hyperconverged and Cloud & Digital technologies. Ability to provide On Call and After-Hours Support will be required

Responsibilities:

Areas of Responsibility:-
  • Expert in Configuration and Administration and management of Windows OS (Linux will be added advantage)
  • Expert in Configuration and Administration and management of Servers and Storage(SAN/NAS) Hardware, Virtualization and Hyperconverged technologies
  • Strong Knowledge about Cloud/Hybrid cloud architectures
  • Fair Knowledge on security towards server/storage & cloud
  • Provide proactive problem management and ensure issues are resolved to meet service delivery agreements.
  • Manage and troubleshoot day-to-day operational issues and problems. Resolve server O/S, Hardware and Storage related issues. Plan Anti-Virus upgrades, OS Patch managements and System upgrade
  • Active participation in development of the infrastructure strategy and roadmap, and ensures its integration with the broader IT and enterprise strategic plans.
  • Provide technical expertise necessary to guarantee availability and vision for global, mission critical IT Infrastructure systems.
  • Provide Problem (determination, analysis, description and resolution) alternatives.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate Change Management Functions for ongoing operations as well as during Project Development.
  • Prepare Detailed Technical specifications for enhancements requirements or projects.
  • Assist in the development and support of Service Level Agreements.
  • Administration of shared services resources including performance, capacity, availability and general server health
  • Participate in security and vulnerability auditing and reporting
  • Administer remote access solution – Citrix and Windows RDP

Basic Qualifications:

Experience & Qualification required :-
Education

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent qualification.

Experience
  • Minimum of overall 5+ years work experience in a Microsoft based environment running TCP/IP network protocol.
  • Excellent communications with keen technical understanding of Virtualization, Storage and LAN/WAN technologies.
  • Experience in service provision.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant systems support Large Global Organization
  • Experience with Windows OS / Messaging / Storage
  • Experience with Citrix, HP blade system and EMC storage implementation and Administration
  • Well versed in Active Directory, Exchange, Office 2007/2010
  • Sound knowledge of IT industry, key suppliers and equipment.

Professional Qualification/Certification
  • ITIL Certified.
  • Microsoft Certified Professionals
