Job Summary:Media Operations resides the Technical Operations wing of Walt Disney International that services the technical needs of content related to Programming, Content, Creative Services and Dubbing initiatives.
This key responsibility of this position in Technical Operations is to ensure tight operational control and timely technical operations activity reporting, coordination & supervision of all named technical operations activities namely: digital file processing & transcoding, video editing, sound mixing & editing activities, telecast master prep activity and technical quality check of all media materials.
Responsibilities:The Assistant Manager is the focal point of all daily operational execution within the Function, and is responsible for the Operational aspects of the Function. By virtue of acquired seniority, functional knowledge & work-experience, he/she holds supervisory responsibility over all operational activities & processes daily executed by Senior Executives & Executives under his direct supervision & charge.
The Assistant Manager, is primarily responsible for his/her team’s daily operational output, quality of service, team competency & deadline management, & must ensure that all Activity / Revenue / Expense Reports & Trackers are daily updated to be reported to his Manager or Department lead.
The Assistant Manager is duty-bound to train, guide & schedule daily work-load and shifts of his/her Executives & Senior Executives, to ensure seamless & timely service-delivery & Functional output.
The Assistant Manager is our bridge between execution & management in the Department - on the cusp of a higher managerial role, and must therefore demonstrate requisite standards of quality-delivery, conduct, competency & communication skills, as expected in The Walt Disney Company.
Basic Qualifications:Minimum Graduate or above. Any additional qualification like a degree or diploma in Technical / Engineering would be an added advantage.
Also domain knowledge and practical experience in the technical aspects of the media processing, editing, sound editing etc. is a definite value-add.
Required Education7 - 10 years work experience in technical operations and perhaps some background experience as a video editor or a sound engineer or technical quality check supervisor or in post-production operations / special effects or animation operations.

- Ability to supervise technical projects and technical operations personnel and make operational decisions that enable effective processes
- Practical experience in technical operations workflow and digital asset management processes
- Ability to manage operational tasks and technical operations teams
- Ability to impart training and guidance to technical operations personnel on operational work-flows and standard operating processes and technical protocols.
