  • Responsible for maintaining the Sports Calendar with an understanding of the Minimum Broadcast Obligations (MBOs) for all the properties.
  • Database and FPC management – keeping track of LIVE events, identify clashes and propose solves in discussion with the management.
  • Planning of Live properties across the 17 Star Sports channels in a minimum 12 weeks rolling cycle.
  • Analyze the channel ratings weekly performance, identify patterns, identify audience preference, identify competition moves, derive insights, and help the team with required data inputs / insights.
  • Utilizing BARC data to evaluate and identify gaps and opportunities to optimize the FPC and maximize GRP gains.
  • Assist the Acquisition team by providing key scheduling insights during the renewal of any existing property or before acquiring any new event.
  • Work closely with the Distribution team to understand sports channels’ placement trends and highlight opportunities and prioritizing of key markets for the genre.
  • Develop monthly/quarterly Programming Plans in collaboration with the Product Team and to ensure the same is communicated to Marketing, Ad-Sales and Hotstar teams.
  • Coordination with Commercial, Legal, Technical, Acquisition and Operations to ensure FPC is implemented as per plan in the Right Management System (RMS) software.
  • Tracking execution & coordination with Distribution, Marketing, Legal teams to ensure prioritized properties are promoted as per set principles.
  • Regular coordination with the CRM team to ensure timely response to consumer queries related to scheduling.
  • Tracking all sports properties and content with competition.


  • Preferably MBA / Post-Graduate with prior experience in Scheduling/FPC.
  • 6-7 years of relevant experience.


  • Good interpersonal skills to work with people across departments.
  • Keen interest in sports and follower of multiple sports.
  • Should have the analytical ability to transfer data into insights.
  • Should be very organized with a sense of goal achievement.
  • Attention to details. You create reports/grids that are relevant and actionable for both Business and Content Teams.
  • Should be proactive and show initiative to go beyond defined work deliverables
