Job Summary:

Category Strategy is a strategic entity in the Disney Ad Sales organization within DMED, the Category Strategy team works to ensure DAS is positioned to meet the Company’s long-term goals and our Clients’ business needs.

The Category Strategy Associate Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams including – research, client/marketing solutions, data enablement, sales and sales communications to contribute to RFP responses and go to market presentations for the category and category clients. This role will work with the Category Strategy Senior Manager/Manager to develop insights supporting strategies to broaden the value proposition of Disney Advertising Sales in the marketplace with a focus on data driven solutions and audience based buying. This role is responsible for understanding consumer media trends, industry measurement solutions and competitive landscape, specifically competitive media spending.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in advertising, media, and/or marketing preferred
    • Experience at an agency, vendor, or client-side within a sales development/strategy or research role at a the company
    • Multi-platform media planning, buying, strategy and measurement with a strong understanding of addressable and data driven solutions
  • Functional experience working in media tools such as Nielsen NPower, ComScore, media spending, and social listening among others
  • Experience with working with R/F tools such as Nielsen Media Impact
  • Working knowledge of cross platform attribution vendors to measure brand lift, sales lift, app downloads etc.
  • Self-starter that takes initiative and is able to navigate without constant direction
  • Strong multitasking capabilities and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment of tight deadlines and constant change
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Passion for The Walt Disney Company, its content, and the advertising landscape
