The Associate Project Manager provides project, administrative and logistical support to Disney Streaming Service’s Core Media Packaging team. The Core Media Packaging team is responsible for video and audio packaging, as well as support for ad services and various microservices.
The Associate Tech Project Manager will assist senior level Project Managers of the Core Media Packaging development team with maintaining and communicating schedules, coordinating deployment events and issuing communications. This role will have the opportunity to be exposed to the project/program management process and development work. For example, compiling and analyzing team metrics, reviewing schedule dependencies, issues and risks while proposing solutions for consideration by the Core Media Management Team.
Focus on major areas of work, typically 20% or more of role
Maintain Clarizen and JIRA tracking and support
Assist with cross-team coordination, including requirements discovery and change control, identify, maintain, and visualize metrics to guide the project lifecycle.
Assist senior level project managers with deployments by planning and owing internal and external project communications, ensuring effective, regular, exchange of project status and deliverables.
Attend team meetings / Meeting Notes / Daily summaries for VP
Works closely with internal business, product and client management teams to effectively communicate technical goals, advancements and risks.
Assist in improving project management process, communication protocols, and operational procedures related to effective, on-time and on-budget software delivery.
1-3 years’ experience supporting and working in an operational or technical support role.
BS/BA degree in Business or Technical field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
You have demonstrable experience assisting in defining and refining process.
Knowledge and practical experience with the software development life cycle.
Experience working with Clarizen and JIRA or equivalent applications required.
Ability to function as a liaison between the business and engineering teams.
Experience assisting in the management of multiple concurrent projects of moderate to high technical complexity.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
