Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

Be a part of something big…
The Business and Legal Affairs department provides all legal and business affairs services to Disney Theatrical Group, including negotiating and drafting substantially all of the voluminous contracts that DTG enters into each year. We provide efficient advice and services that allows DTG to be highly profitable with very limited risk.

Duties may include...
  • Preparing databases of deal summaries and template contract provisions
  • Assisting with drafting contracts and responding to and/or discussing comments with attorneys
  • Conducting research

Basic Qualifications:

You bring…
  • Interest in entertainment business or entertainment law, with theatre interest an added bonus
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework in copyright, entertainment business, entertainment law or other intellectual property areas
  • Prior internship at a theatre or entertainment company or law firm

Required Education

  • Completion of 1st year of law school in a current JD program at the start of the internship

Additional Information:

Program Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must provide full work availability from May/June through August/September
  • Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work. Position is in New York, NY.
  • Must be enrolled in a JD program at a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter prior to participation in the internship program
  • Must submit a cover letter
