Job Summary:

Disney Streaming Services is a business unit within The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI) segment that oversees all consumer-facing digital video subscription services across the company. Disney Streaming is responsible for developing and operating The Walt Disney Company’s direct-to-consumer video businesses globally, including the ESPN+ premium sports streaming service, programmed in conjunction with ESPN; the upcoming Disney SVOD service; and BAMTECH Media, a global leader in direct-to-consumer video streaming products and solutions. Its core mission is to deliver global audiences the freedom to access content on their terms across any connected device, time or location.

Job Summary

Director ESPN+ On Platform acquisition and Revenue Development will work across DSS and ESPN to develop strategies and tactics to drive efficient sign ups for ESPN+ across ESPN Digital Platforms.  


  • Lead a team focused on driving acquisition and revenue for ESPN+

  • Work in close collaboration and partnership with ESPN Product, editorial, content, and marketing teams to develop strategies that drive sign ups for ESPN+ across ESPN digital platforms 

  • Work closely with ESPN+ Marketing, ESPN Programming and Finance teams to align on key events and sign up drivers

  • Implement plans and measure effectiveness of each component to ensure refinement and performance evaluation

  • Work closely with both DSS Data Analytics and ESPN Research teams as well as product and technology to ensure we maximize data, feedback and measurement of acquisition efforts.

  • Provide insights to all members of the team around ESPN+ on platform sign ups and effectiveness of efforts

  • Strategize and implement plans to drive incremental revenue opportunities for ESPN+

  • Oversee executive level reporting for ESPN+

Basic Requirements

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience

  • Keen understanding of ESPN Digital Products and fan behavior

  • Ability to understand key consumer data

  • Strong strategic thinker

  • Excellent communicator

  • DTC experience

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved.

Preferred Requirements

  • Understanding of key sports on ESPN Platforms

  • Experience with ESPN Digital products in a business setting

  • Ability to both manage employees and influence colleagues

Basic Education

  • BA Required

Preferred Education

  • Advanced degree in business, data or another relevant field is preferred.

The hiring range for this position in New York $183,744.00 to $229,680.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
