Responsibilities:-Overseeing the writing assignments of 20+ staff and freelance writers
-Editing copy and segment notes for both hours of Good Morning America
-Working closely with writers to craft copy and questions for anchors
-Assigning daily and long term segments
-Scheduling writers for both weekday and weekend GMA
-Hiring and training new writers
-Providing feedback and constructive criticism
-Working closely with senior and executive staff to craft the best possible show
-Working closely with the Legal & Standards teams to ensure accuracy and fairness in all copy
This position is covered under a collective bargaining agreement with the Writers Guild of America
Basic Qualifications:-Minimum 5 years of writing and production experience for a live show at the large market, cable or network level
Required Education-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
