Job Summary:

The Inventory Analyst position within Revenue and Yield Management, Sports is responsible for daily inventory management on the following networks: ESPN, ESPN2, Net 30, Net 5, ESPNews, ESPNU, ACC, SEC, and Deportes. The Inventory Analyst will track and report on commercial inventory availability, marketplace trends, product categories, and manage the communication of inventory changes to various internal stakeholders in order to maximize revenue across the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages commercial inventory demands, ratecard maintenance, product categories, sponsorship activity, incumbent positions and advertiser deal points for assigned sports.

  • Communicates commercial inventory availability and approves inventory re-expressions on a daily basis.
  • Review program schedules and identify changes that will impact ratecard.
  • Serves as a liaison to Programming, and RYM constituents to communicate major pre & post schedule changes and provide direction on inventory clearance to maximize revenue.
  • Work with Sport Brand Solutions to maintain internal awareness of on-air assets.
  • Prepares on-air guidelines for assigned sports to direct the implementation of booked inventory.
  • Provides sport specific inventory updates, packaging recommendations and ad hoc reporting to Management on an on-going basis.
  • Analyze inventory reports to provide strategic recommendations that maximize revenue and inventory utilization.
  • Monitor Restrictor tool for overbooked units which could be result of product conflicts, presenting sponsors, incumbent positions. Maintain product codes in tool for all league/programming restrictions.
  • Perform operational duties as department need dictates.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of on-air execution and operational implementations
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and tasks in a consistently changing environment
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven aptitude to foster effective relationships with others internally and externally
  • Exhibits skills and knowledge to make decisive, sound decisions when problem-solving and determining course of action
  • Must be able to work overtime, including nights and weekends, without advance notice
  • Computer skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years TV Ad Operations experience

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree
