Job Summary:We have an exciting Labor Relations opportunity available this spring, based out of our New York office.
Responsibilities:A day in the life…
•Assisting the department in preparing for and attending collective bargaining negotiations
•Conducting legal research and writing memorandum on matters involving labor law
•Assisting with handling of grievances or arbitrations under collective bargaining agreements
Basic Qualifications:What you bring to the role…
•Pursuing a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and currently enrolled at an accredited law school
•At least 1L year at the time of the internship
•A focus in entertainment law and/or labor law and any labor law classes
As well as…
•All candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization
•All candidates must be at least 18 years old
•All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited law school and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship
•All candidates must be available from January to May
•All candidates must be willing to work at least 20 hours/week
•All candidates must be able to work in the New York City office and provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
•All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
Preferred Qualifications:Media/entertainment studio/network experience/labor law
