Job Summary:

Disney Streaming Services seeks a Lead Software Engineer to contribute to exciting, highly visible initiatives that directly impact our viewers and the advocates who support them by focusing on developing, enhancing, and maintaining CRM systems. This role will manage a variety of CRM applications and workflows, inclusive of end-to-end engineering and development of solutions to new business challenges. In addition, they will collaborate with members of Software Engineering and Viewer Experience teams to drive significant improvements to customer-facing Help Centers, chatbot and live chat interfaces.


  • Implement and maintain Zendesk Agent Workspace customizations

  • Implement and maintain Help Center customizations

  • Implement and maintain custom chatbot and live chat interfaces

  • Engineer solutions that align with the company’s roadmap

  • Design UI/UX

  • Evaluate technical requirements

  • Lead the creation of technical documentation for Chatbot and Zendesk systems

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Participate in an on-call rotation

  • Additional tasks as assigned by leadership


  • At least 7 years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

  • At least 5 years of experience implementing custom functionality in Zendesk or Salesforce or ServiceNow

  • At least 2 years of experience utilizing the React framework

  • Experience with common development tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence Experience with Unix/Linux

  • Excel at collaborating with engineering teams and business stakeholders

  • Demonstrate a proactive, fast-moving approach to development and solving technical problems

  • Agile development methodologies

The hiring range for this remote position is $157,703 to $219,230 per year, which factors in various geographic regions.  The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.  A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
