Job Summary:

Principal Product Manager / Senior Manager - Messaging (Newsletters & Push Notifications)

The Principal Product Manager, Messaging, will own the strategy and roadmap for how we seamlessly reach our audiences and deliver great experiences to our users across our owned messaging channels (i.e. email newsletters, push notifications, SMS, etc).

You will come up with best-in-class messaging experiences that deepen engagement with new and existing segments of users across our channels and brands – including ABC News, Good Morning America, 538 and more. Your approach will be data-driven and leverage testing and user insights. You will work in partnership with multiple stakeholders within and across our portfolio to deliver growth with an unrelenting focus on value for our consumers. You will determine the best technical solutions to meet our needs that ensure high rates of deliverability and speedy sends. You will also ensure alignment with our user interest and personalization strategies.

Basic Qualifications

● 10+ years of Product Management experience & BA Degree in related field

Demonstrated experience and knowledge driving product development, preferably on consumer-facing messaging

● Ideal background working on experiences from sign up flows to end messaging experiences

● Ideal background working with messaging service providers with familiarity in deliverability best practices

● Proficiency in leveraging qualitative and quantitative data with expertise in A/B testing, data analysis and analytical thinking

● Solutions-oriented collaborator and can drive progress amid a fast-paced and evolving organization

● High level of comfort communicating with executives

● Familiarity and passion for growth and retention product levers

● Experience with Agile product development

● Process-driven and organized systematic approach

Responsibilities

● Own product strategy and roadmap execution for consumer journey

● Establish KPIs to measure and manage success of the team’s work

● Foster a data-driven, consumer-first approach to our work

● Work closely with a cross-functional team of data analytics, audience development, technology, design, marketing, editorial, and more to identify and drive value for users and our business

● Drive long-term direction for the portfolio in the context of our broader streaming plays

 Preferred Education:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science Preferred

The hiring range for this position in New York is $219,260.00 to $253,880.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
