Responsibilities:Pitch, develop, book, direct and write magazine length feature pieces. Qualified candidates should have strong writing and reporting skills as well as an ability to shoot dv and other small format cameras. Supervise set up of feed points and serve all ABC News platforms when required.
Basic Qualifications:Ability to lead production of day of air pieces including write and supervise reporting and editing of magazine length news pieces on a daily deadline. Lead teams in the field on news of day stories including ability to produce anchor from a live location, supervise newsgathering, supervise set up of feed points and serve all ABC News platforms when required. At least 5 years’ experience in television production at a large market or network level writing, booking, story development and strong visual skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience producing/shaping stories at all stages of development from pitch to air. Seasoned writing, booking, story development and strong visual skills. Working knowledge of Avid and Interplay systems preferred.
Required EducationBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
