- This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for aiding in measurement operations that supports the Disney Television networks, and is part of the DMED Entertainment Research, Insights & Analytics team. The analyst ensures all linear and VOD ABC programming is created, coded, processed and submitted as per Nielsen’s policy guidelines.  Before new program airs, the analyst will proactively communicate with the network Scheduling and Broadcast Operations teams as well as Research colleagues to ensure optimal coding for measurement.

Analyst will be a subject matter expert in the company’s obligations to the Nielsen policy guidelines including any yearly guideline updates and amendments.

This position will have a focus on research operations for ABC, but will work be given the opportunity to work across other networks, including Freeform, Disney Channel nets, FX nets, and Nat Geo nets.

As measurement processes continue to evolve, the Analyst will provide feedback and participate in that evolution, helping improve downstream measurement for external and internal sources to enable consistent, accurate performance and audience data for DMED.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Nielsen Content Link (NCL)/myEVNTs for Linear and VOD: Code and process content by the required deadlines to insure proper ratings credit.
  • Partnership: Be the connection between Nielsen and internal departments including research operations, broadcast operations, and programming/scheduling. Collaborate with team members to improve operations and downstream measurement.
  • Leadership: Serve as the subject matter expert regarding company Nielsen guidelines obligations.
  • Adherence to deadlines: Ensure all Nielsen deadlines are accurate and met.
  • Flexibility: Have the ability to adjust work schedule as business needs arise often very early in the morning.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of analytical experience or in any quality control field
  • Must be East coast based due to Nielsen deadline
  • Preferred experience with Nielsen tools, especially Nielsen Content Link or Nielsen rating tools like NPOWER or NNTV
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with data exploration and data visualization tools like Tableau
  • Expertise with Excel
  • Excellence in communicating technical processes and results to non-technical audiences. 
  • Excellent judgement in selecting methods and/or techniques to resolve issues and challenges
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable relevant experience
