The Walt Disney Company's Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) is a new, global business segment for The Walt Disney Company that is responsible for all monetization of content—both distribution and ad sales—and oversees the operations of the Company’s streaming services, including Disney+ (including Star and Disney+ Hotstar internationally), Hulu, and ESPN+ and domestic broadcast and cable television networks. DMED brings together the Company’s best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization, with the goal of expanding the footprint of Disney’s world-class content and beloved brands and delivering highly-personalized entertainment experiences to diverse consumers around the world. DMED works in close collaboration with Disney’s Studio, General Entertainment, and Sports content creation teams on programming and marketing for the streaming services and networks.
DMED is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) who will play a key role in supporting our Direct to Consumer (DTC) Business, including Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu.
This data-focused role will support the Product Finance team in providing business decision support through financial and user analysis to improve acquisition, engagement, and retention. They will work closely with key stakeholders across the Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to evaluate project proposals and provide key financial inputs in the decision making process. The right person for this role has exceptional analytical and communication skills.
The pace and cadence for change at Disney Streaming necessitates an ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and roll up sleeves to support this important segment of the Disney business.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
Collaborate with various business stakeholders, particularly Product, Product Strategy, and Engineering, to evaluate opportunities to improve the user experience and address consumer needs
Support quantitative and qualitative cost-benefit analysis for each new product initiative proposal
Develop impactful, compelling presentation materials (decks, notes, write-ups, backup materials, etc.) that effectively and succinctly communicate findings of analysis
Support testing / experimentation culture by collaborating with the Experimentation Team to source data that informs efforts to accelerate subscriber growth, engagement, and retention
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
2 or more years of finance-related work experience, preferably with direct-to-consumer, subscription, media/entertainment, and/or technology companies; business partnership experience with Product and/or Engineering teams is a plus
Bachelor’s degree with a focus on finance, economics, or other quantitative field
Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Exceptional financial modeling and analytical abilities
Excellent verbal and written communications
Organized, self-driven, able to prioritize, and able to work independently
Comfortable working in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and collaborating with analysts who work with Big Data on a daily basis
