Disney Entertainment & ESPN is looking for a Fullstack Engineer to join the Experience Delivery team inside the Media Engineering organization.
The Experience Delivery team crafts intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces that help our organization enhance the playback experience for our global audience. We collaborate closely with backend teams to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow, enabling rich insights and operational intelligence across the organization. Our environment is both collaborative and self-directed, aiming to achieve business objectives with innovative and user-centric solutions.
As a Fullstack Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience of our products. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the overall vision of the team. If you have a passion for creating engaging user experiences, are intrigued by the world of live sports and entertainment, or are eager to be part of a rapidly expanding team that's central to the company's revenue generation, then we'd love to have you on board.
Technologies we use include Retool, React, JS, Go, PostgresQL, Kubernetes, AWS (CloudFront, Lambda, Kinesis, Aurora, many others) and more. Experience in these areas is highly valued, but not required.
Responsibilities
Design and develop user interfaces and the APIs that power them
Translate technical project plans into well defined easy to estimate tasks
Serve as an active owner of team remit proactively identifying and vying for improvements
Curate nuanced well reasoned opinions from first principles to guide team decisions
Be an excellent partner to team members across all levels
Qualifications
Proven experience in designing and developing user interfaces for web applications
Demonstrated success operating in self-directed environments
Track record of using empirical evidence to make decisions
Curious by nature with a proven passion for learning
History of leveraging excellent communication, empathy, and reason when collaborating
Deeply pragmatic, able to identify high-leverage solutions without being dogmatic in approach
Experience with distributed systems preferably within a cloud environment
Familiar with the technologies we use
Required
Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or related field
3+ years of experience

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $117,998 to $158,290 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
