Disney Theatrical Group is currently seeking a sales driven and creative self-starter to join our team as a Tourism & Group Sales intern. This intern will work and learn all aspects of the tourism & group sales process including, booking group tickets, client outreach/management, tourism market development, strategy and communication. This individual will support the Manager, Global Tourism Sales and The Disney Theatrical Group Sales Team.

Responsibilities:

Make an impact by…
  • Developing and executing client outreach initiatives and cultivating ideas to reach new audiences.
  • Providing regular reporting of group sales and tourism sales to internal teams.
  • Working with the Global Tourism Sales Manager to analyze travel industry trends and provide insights.
  • Conducting market research on group sales and tourism industry booking process.
  • Helping to ensure clients are receiving booking information and communication timely.
  • Educating new clients about Disney’s productions, workshops and theatre tour experiences.
  • Contributing to an intern group project managing the creation of a mock Broadway show
  • Engage with entire sales team to learn ins-and-outs of ticketing, CRM, and analytics.

  • Interest in Outbound Sales, Tourism, and Client Partnerships.
  • Problem solving and project management skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel preferred
  • Collaborative spirit, positive attitude, eagerness to learn
  • Genuine Interest in theatre, entertainment, or The Walt Disney Company

Additional Information:

Program Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must provide full work availability from Tuesday, May 26, 2020 through Friday, August 7, 2020
  • Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work. Positions are in New York, NY.
  • At the time of application, must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring) prior to participation in the internship program.

A day in the life…
  • Disney Theatrical Group has an open office environment. The noise level in the office varies from minimal to high depending on level of activity. Employees are welcome to utilize headphones.
  • Interns will frequently collaborate in small groups, sometimes with executive leadership, in hands-on workshops, or on their final group presentation. These meetings are informal and facilitated by a member of the Education team, and you will be encouraged to ask questions and participate alongside your peers.
